LED TV Mounting Question

I recently purchased a vizio 55" LED, and I have this stand:

http://www.sanus.com/us/en/products/av-foundations/av-flat-panel/PFFP2

Although the Vizio falls under the weight limit for the stand, the max diagonal of the TV specified by Sanus is 50 inches.

I called Sanus, and they mentioned something about a longer prybar and putting more stress on the stand when tilting the TV.

I never tilted my last TV, and doubt I will tilt this one. Can anyone shed light on what the representative meant by a longer prybar and torque?

Do you think I should get a different stand to be safe?

Thanks in advance.

I think that stand will work fine.

To me, it's going to look weird having a stand that is narrower than the TV. It's just going to look very top heavy.

The base of the stand is 43" wide, and your TV is 52" wide. I would get a more substantial base, or put the TV on the wall.
