I think at some point Lebron will regret not shaking Orlando's hands. I'm somewhat shocked by his stance about it because I've always seen him skin-up opponents after regular-season games. He also missed the opportunity to wish them well in representing the eastern conference.
As for the league not fining him for his disappearance, expect that to be the only free pass in that regard.
and seeing how stubborn and arrogant he is, i doubt he will ever admit it.
he won't own up to a mistake, just like when he denied he traveled when doing his crab dribble.
there was a game during the playoffs (i forgot which, maybe orlando game 2), that he amazingly admitted after the game to traveling and the refs had the right call. he didnt say it was a crab move or whatever, he said flat out "i traveled"
of course, he was in a great mood seeing he won that game. (it may be game 2, he hit that buzzer beater)
if true, i take it back then.
still shocked though.
Yep... he said it pretty 'unabashedly' too.
There will be cracks in James' armor along the way, no doubt, but I think he's shown a savvy ability and desire to better himself as he goes along. He was a fantastic embassador in the world's and olympics lately, and he's been too good a kid to become a d!ckhead diva at this point imo.
Once he has some private conversations with people like Magic, Jordan, Woods, or Jeter, etc. they'll straighten his @ss out in a heartbeat in what it means to be a man after having lost. (especially at the end of a series...all of the ballers have walked out on the media at some point.)
On the other hand if he doesn't learn from this experience, my current impression of him will definitely be tainted. Its a fundamental issue in sportsmanship to congratulate your opponent, and given his popularity and 'worldwide brand', its a sh!tty example to youth and others to not do it.
