how long did it take jordan to win a playoff game?
"Michael Jordan, by the way, had 23 points, 10 assists, four rebounds, three steals and one turnover in his first career playoff game 21 years ago, a 109-100 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Jordan didn't win a playoff series until his fourth season, when he was 25. James, 21, is in his third season."

he did not win a game his first attempt.

As I said, let him start racking up some real stats before you compare him. Again, how many championships has he won?

How many scoring titles?

How many MVP's?

Until he has the record of a champion he is still a promising player with potential for greatness.

That doesn't negate the fact that Jordan is among the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. Before we let Lebron into that category, he has to at the very least with a playoff series, if not a championship.

I have never felt that winning a championship makes you great. yes, it helps in some peoples opinion, but if you can continually put up the numbers like James has been this year, and continually improve a team, it makes you great.

James SHOULD be MVP this year, i see no reason not to be. Kobe is good, and helped his team, but James was everything to the cavs.

LEt Lebron put up numbers a few years in a row, like 5 or 6, than he can be compared. And Kobe deserved it, he literally outscored entire teams, and scored 50%+ of the points on his team nightly.

Lebron needs to be consistant and dominating for a multiple amount of years, and win multiple playoff series before he should even be considered.

The greats can win games by themselves, and stop there team from imploding. Playoffs are where we see how true players and greats are.

exactly why LeBron, if he wins this series, in a dominant fasion like the first game, can be considered a great player for his age, and possibly the future of the NBA.

How was Kobe anything less than "everything" to the Lakers?

i have a passionate hate for people who play basketball and hog the ball.

MVP to me does not mean, how many shots can one take in the game, it means, how well do you help others on your team accel at their positions and perform better than they are.

i HATE kobe, that is all.

Kobe = lakers

The other 4 guys are there so they can watch Kobe play and give him the ball.

The theory is, when your guy is hot you feed him the ball, Kobe is hot everynight and is the reason for a majority of the Laker's wins.

I can't stand all these LeBron James doubters. First it was Carmelo is better. Then it was he can't improve his team. (One year before LeBron, 17 wins, after 40 wins, 42 wins, and now 50 wins). Then it was D-Wade is much better. Then it was he can't take his team to the playoffs. Then it was he can't win a playoff series. Then it will be he can't get by the Pistons. Then he can't win a championship. Then finally, it will be, yeah he won a championship, but his teamates were so good, anyone could have won with that team.

Face it, if he continues on the pace he is on, he will be, the greatest player to ever play the game of basketball. Keep in mind, Jordan was STILL IN COLLEGE at 21 years old!!!!!

LeBron has the potential to become the greatest player ever. Let's hope fame doesn't get to his head...
