Leaving for a week long trip to Japan in a few days and have a couple of questions.

Long plane ride 🙁 Are the available power ports on a 777 going to be the home AC variety or the cigarette lighter type. Need to make sure I have adaptors for all my entertainment.

We will be staying on base at NAF Atsugi, which I understand is around an hour (ish) train ride from Tokyo. I dont think we will have much free time, but if we do are there some "must see" sights around Tokyo? Since I'm with the wife and in-laws it will probably be more of a shopping trip excursion, but what are the must see things. I assume all that are around the base are massage parlors and payday loan joints, but if anyone might have ever been there, whats it like?

Now, since I speak NO Japanese, will I even have half a chance of communication? Is English widely spoken?

Lastly, what the hell do I do about beer? 🙂

Um... From what I know, they wouldn't mind if you speak japanese to them, but they prefer if they tried to speak English to you... But most of the time since they spent years learning English, they can speak it sort of or mostly fluently. yeah, and don't forget to bring an A/C converter... No I haven't been there... Haven't been there yet, but I'd like to.
