As title. What do? She is pretty cute and I do want to ask her out but don't know how to make it seems like some half-hearted attempt before leaving the job.

So you want to ask her out but you aren't sure what to do? If that's the case all hope is lost.

Didn't we have this exact thread half a year ago or so? I vaguely remember a girl having smiled in someone's general direction and him assuming she wanted him because of that.

I recommend chaining her up in your basement for a few months, just so she can really get to know your personality.

Just tell her you didn't want to miss an opportunity and ask her. If you guys really have gotten reasonably close as co-workers, shouldn't be that hard.

Leave a photocopy of your junk on the copy machine with a note. Something like "if you want the real thing, give me a call". Seems like it should work. Can't really see a downside to this plan.

Walk up to her, extend your hand, and say "Come with me if you want to live."

Is this real life? AFTER you leave, you call her and say you always wanted to ask her out, but since you worked together felt it would be awkward/inappropriate. But now since you are gone its time to hit the town for dinner and drinks.

Then you bang her.

Then you post pictures (or her, not you, you weirdo) here.

If you don't make it to this last part, given how I've spelled it out so easily for you, I pray to the good lawd above that you be banned forever from this site.

I mean to ask her out in a way that wouldn't her feel like I'm just doing this because I'm leaving... You know?

Will you still work nearby? Any chance for a meet and catch up lunch or coffee a few weeks into the new job?

PricklyPete had it right - tell her that you don't think dating co-workers is a good idea but now that's not an issue so you'd like to get to know her better. It's not that hard dude, and the best thing is if she says she's not interested you'll never have to see her again so it minimizes any chance of embarrassment.
