ok, for anyone that cares there is a tiny manual eject button on the fron panel to the left of the power/eject buttons. i tried it, but didn't work. i call microsoft support to see if they can do anything, but it turns up empty. they tell me to send it in to them, and since it's past it's 90 day warranty i'd have to pay $108 dollars to geti t repaired!!!!!! lol, what a crock.

i guess getting the best buy service warranty paid off in the end, although if i hadn't purchased it i still wouldn't have payed $100 to fix a jammed CD tray. let's just hope they can fix the problem at best buy w/o me losing all my saved game data.

Yeah, I usually say screw it to extended warranties, but I bought a TV at Best Buy and decided to get it. Lo and behold the damn thing broke in like a year. Drop it off, pick it up two weeks later.

Does the xbox have a hard drive? You could swap an old 1gig in for it and when you get a new console, "Voila!" Same profiles and gamesaves.

Two weeks? Suck... I don't know if I would make it two weeks w/o a TV. I'd have to borrow an extra from a friend, or buy a cheapy. Also, BB is going to have to come out to service my Wega if it goes out.

well it turned out that i had to swap the xbox for a new one. i lost all my saves because i couldn't boot into the xbox bios and trasfer the saves onto a memory card :(:(:(:(

i was going to swap out the hard drive, but the thing is that the xbox doesn't have any screws, just plastic clips. and w/ my luck i'd push too hard and break the damn things - there goes my best buy warranty. i just played it safe. oh well.
