Wow! What a terrible idea! Not only is it ugly, but the trashcan itself is only 8.5" square and 10" tall.... lol, no wonder it's on clearance :)

The sad part is that there's probably lots of corporations (most of whom died or near death) who bought many of these similar overpriced office junk at full price.

Available in Black also. The black leather deskset looks pretty good. The black leather waste basket would go well with it. I like the leather wrapped metal waste baskets better personally, but for $20 it will make a good accessory in a nice home office.

For years, you could find this high grade of handwoven leather only in the upper stratosphere of prices. But we've found a way to make such luxury more accessible. This luxury works for you, too. The blotter's surface is smooth enough for a mouse, durable enough for a nib and roomy enough for a laptop. The pen cup has a removable foam insert that keeps six pens upright and protected. The letter box can serve as an in-box.

Appears Levenger doesn't really care about the item

"The letter box can serve as an in-box"

Darn! This kills the deal. I was really hoping to use the letter box as a toilet.

Not only is it insanely priced, but it's probably against code in most places, which requires metal wastepaper baskets.

Do not torch anything in this wastepaper basket, it is not fire retardant. Use a metal trashcan.
