Today I swapped this chair (bought it for 27 10 days ago) for this
better chair, same price

It has a steel frame and is a little bit bigger in height and width, but not depth. But it is on clearance, so you will have trouble finding it.

I have two of these ones. Very nice. The other looks like it wouldn't be bad though....

First off..

I would like to appologise for the lack of a decent title...

I am very new to posting but not new to reading on this forum... so again.. PLEASE dont flame me anymore for my lame title.. I'll change it.

I did some more research..

My chair (in this post) is NOT the same chair that was previously offered a few months back.. this chair is wider and is actual leather with a better backrest..

I have compared the two chairs ( a good friend of mine got his rebates a bit ago and I tested his chair)

also..

I AGREE THAT THE PADDING SUCKS!

My padding is starting to flatten after more than a week of use and I will eventually get a padded seat cussion for it..

its not flat flat... but more uncomfortable the more you sit in it.

all in all.. Im glad i bought it... ( hey.. can you get a leather chair for less than 50.00 anywhere else???)

my stupid od chair is broken. the base seems to have come out of place...so when i swivel the chair it makes a creeking noise. i have been putting up with this for 4 months now.

how do i detach it from the seat? is there a special way to do that? keep in mind i'm small and my arms are not that strong otherwise, i would have already yanked it loose. the company is office club inc, but they don't have a site where i can get info on fixing this chair..

(pls don't flame me.)

One diff bt this chair and a good one --- the foam. I have a 12yr old steelcase chair that still works perfectly and whose foam is still foam (instead of pancaked foam). BUt...for $25...

It's a nice chair(sitting in it now), but it squeeks like hell after a month, and it is NOT a steel frame, the backrest and buttrest are connected solely with plastic armrests. I felt like it would fall apart if I leaned back. Still holding up now after some pretty heavy abuse tho.

I got one of these OD made leather chairs 2 years ago for around $40. It still works great for how much I paid. I just notice some squeaking in the past few months, but it hasn't been very loud or annoying rather. The foam padding does kind of settle in and "pancake", but I can't complain. I am a college student and it is 10x better than the chairs that the school supplies.

Mines 2yrs old as well and still going strong so now I'm thinking of letting my Clients use it while I splurge for the Suede 1 @ OfficeMax 😛

The squeaks can be taken care of with a little sewing machine or thin oil so get up off your ass people 😉
