hey one more question, my mom and grandma are bickering.............question is:

does the dealer the one who picks up the triump?

does the dealer the one who picks up the triump?
Yes. (you're talking about the card turned up on the top of the "kitty" right?)

and another question, is it 2 points when you and your partner take all of them?
Yes. Two points if you take all five tricks. Two points also if you "Euch" your opponents (Euch = they call trump, but you take at least 3 of 5 tricks anyway).

EDIT- Euchre. What a fun card game. Complex enough to have strategy, yet simple enough that you can drink and talk HUGE trash while playing. Great stuff. I taught a bunch of my southern friends (I live in Atlanta but grew up in MI) how to play and now they're hooked. We play every Wed. 😀

THANK YOU 😀

just rated you 10 🙂😛

Edit: i would if i could 😱 just noticed that...

also, if a person calls it and goes "alone" (partner is skipped) and wins all 5 tricks then they win 4 points. if they get 3 or 4 tricks it is 1 point, if he/she gets euchred the other team gets 2 points

Hehe...loner hands are so much fun. You just get to sit there and dish out the pain if you really have a good one. 😀

In all seriousness, I have a good recipie if you'd like to try your hand at making them. I usually make them ahead of time, freeze them raw and then toss them in the oven whenever needed. Only takes an extra 20 min or so to cook them that way. 🙂
