Hi!
I would be interested in learning more about gaming and hardware requirements.
For example a certain video card can play at maximum details at a certain resolution at 60 fps. Or a Crossfire/SLI setup is faster/slower than this single video card. Compare Crossfire/SLI against single video cards. Video card rankings as far as speed is concerned.
Aside from these forums is there some magazine/site I can follow to get started?
Open to all suggestions.
TIA.

Thanks.
Next question would be price/performance of video cards.
Which video card performs better at this price. Who are the contenders at this price.

Don't.. open up that bag of worms (which card performs better).

Figure out your price range.. In general (prices at that level and up):
$150 - 7850
$200 - 7870 / 660
$250 - 7870 XT/ 660 Ti
$300 - 7950 / 670
$350 - 7970/ 680

Do your own conclusions on what card is better for the level. Go to reviews (if you go to the main anandtech page, you can search for anand's reviews of different GPUs) to find detailed information. Techpowerup, HardOCP, Guru3D, and Toms Hardware are also good places.

Mostly it's just reading lots of reviews and memorizing them. Follow multiple forums and see the trends.

Are you looking to get a card soon? We can also help you if you need some advice.

Large / recent reviews are a great starting point.

I would not use 2012 AT Gpu bench as all those scores use very old drivers. Wait for 2013 AT bench or use other sites for now.

Is there a way to find out which games are CPU driven and which games are GPU driven?
