Learn Programming - UCLA Extension?

Would appreciate any feedback on this.
I am considering making a career change into the IT field.

Does anyone have any opinions or experience with UCLA Extension? Specifically the Applications Programming Certificate?

It's just that I can't really find any reviews or any people taking this program...

I have a BA in Communication, and I feel like maybe this certificate could help me get exposed to the programming world. Especially because it is hard for me to find time to do any Online Courses from Coursera or something.

Any thoughts or opinions? The cost of the program isn't whats worrying me. It's just, a matter of whether it is a good use of time. I appreciate any thoughts.

Looks like they are throwing the whole gamut at you.

You will acquire exposure to most areas that are currently in demand; however, to utilize any, you will need at least 2-3 more courses in such a field.

I do not think that taking this package will qualify you into any one segment of the IT field.

You will be spending $10K on a dozen intro coursed. At no more than 2-3 courses a semester (to get the full impact/benefit), you are talking 2 years to just get an idea and another year to take courses to get good at the section that you desire.
