3dmark 2001 - 2006 x1650 Pro and x1300 XT results

The x1650 Pro results seem to be okay but the most interesting results are for the x1300 XT. If the x1300 XT is priced lower than the Geforce 7300 GT then ATI are onto a winner!

UPDATE:-

I sent the owner of Ultimate Hardware an email earlier today and was told that the X1300 XT beats the Geforce 7300 GT by 7% when using games software and 5% when using synthetic benchmarks like 3dmark.

The 7300GT in that list is the DDR2 variant so not the fastest of the 7300's. With GDDR3 the 7300GT would get somewhere around 7,500 in 3DMark03, 3,500-4,000 in 05. It would have to be priced lower than the 7300GT GDDR3 to be the better buy.

Edit: That is with a 3500+ (Venice), 1GB RAM & A8N-SLI.

I've seen the X1600 series own the 6600gt in 3dmark, yet when used in real games they are beaten by the 6600gt. I really can't give these results a whole lot of credit...

In which games, and at what settings? From what I've seen, in modern games with HQ driver settings the x1600xt not only destroys a 6600gt, but also matches or beats bigger, older Ati cards like the x800gto. Text

Text destroys the 6600gt in 3dmark06

Text in reality, its barely faster than the 6600gt in most games.

Subtract 10-30% off Nv scores for not using HQ driver settings, and what do you get?

Firingsquad test, FEAR 1280res 0x0x, "Quality" driver settings:
x1600xt = 39fps, 6600gt = 35fps

Computerbase test, FEAR 1280res, 0x0x, HQ driver settings:
x1600x = 36fps, 6600gt = 23fps

Quality driver settings are okay for 6 series cards, they dont shimmer as much as the 7 series cards do. not sure where you're getting the 30% performance hit from 😕

edit: on the FEAR test AF wasnt even on. cant shimmer without AF being on...

"Sapphire Radeon x1300 XT review by Ultimate Hardware"

The lastest mainstream video card from ATI's Radeon x1000 family of video cards the Sapphire Radeon x1300 XT is reviewed against the MSI NX 7300 GT. The Sapphire Radeon x1300 XT is closer related to the x1600 Pro than the x1300 Pro which should make for a good battle with the MSI NX 7300 GT. The Sapphire Radeon x1300 XT should be the ideal video card to bridge the gap between the Radeon x1300 Pro and the Radeon x1650 Pro.
