a little better score in 3dmark2001 and now it runs the demo..
but it's not faster than directx8 for 3dmark 2000

Any problems with the 8.1 beta drivers?

I installed them and on first boot got blue screen of death. It said that I needed to increase "minsps" above 6 in the system.ini file. Did that and was able to boot, but the computer was hanging periodically in NHL2001. 3 times in one night.

I decided to reinstall the OS and stay with 8.0a since I don't know of a way to uninstall DirectX.

Similar or different experiences?

I installed it and now 3Dmark 2001 wont run..


It keeps saying that I have to have a card that supports DirectX 8..:Q

And I'm sure my card does..
