I am reminded of the movie "My Cousin Vinny" where Marissa is arguing with Pesci about what pants he is going to where to go deer hunting.

<< I shot a couple of hunters. I don't condone hunting, so instead I hunt hunters! >>

:)

I wish!!!

<< No, I don't think it's fun. I think it's sick. >>

Hear Hear!!!

I fail to see the "sport" in sitting 300 yards away with a high power rifle and scope and killing some creature that has no idea you anywhere around. :(

Bow hunting I could MAYBE understand, but I still could never kill a creature thats just so damn cute!!

Yeah thats right, I'm a big old softie!! ;)

Skoorb, do you eat meat? As in hamburgers, steaks, chicken? Then you condone the killing of animals.

I simply do not have the stomach for hunting. However, someone bagged a coyote down the road from me last week.

While I don't personally hunt, and have no interest in doing so, hunting deer is necessary to keep the population in check. Now I AM opposed to hunting stuff that is threatened or endangered... no condor egg omlets for me.

Damn, what a cool sport. Killing defensless animals. If you want to have some "leagl killin'" then teach the buck how to defend itself. If you think you are a man because you can shoot a animal that has no way to fire back at you, you need to re-evaluate your definition of sport and murder.

how did you all get so cityfied.... hunting is one of our last free rights as americans... even if you do not do it that does not make it wrong... I would rather see a gut pile laying in the woods then see two men kissing on the bus stop but I am forced to see that and it is supposed to be thier right but you defile hunting that puts food on the table so kids do not go hungry ...I really do not understand what is happening to america............. honestly just my thoughts..

i dont really see the point of hunting for sport, but where i used to live the deer outnumbered the people and caused lotsa car accidents and always ate everything from our garden (had to build a10 foot fence around it)...

my father used to go up in tree stands to hunt them, but then he set up a motion detector from our garage, when a deer setit off an alarm would go off in our house and he would go open the dining room window draw his bow and then i'd flip on the outside light...the deer would wait a couple seconds before fleeing and in that time TTHHWAAAPP!!....then we got to track it...thats a lot of fun...

we would always eat everything we could from it...also learned a lot about the disection from it...deer was my first dissection, well before frog or cat

I've never hunted.

Stupid sport: Sport fishing. I mean. Really. Come on now. Brutal. Pathetic.
Real hunting: With a bow when you have to track the deer :)

I think that deer hunting is difficult. Of course with all these callers and scents coming out it gets easier and less sportsman like all the time, but to somebody with just their rifle who has to track an animal and use a good single shot to kill it this at least is "sporty". The fact is yes the prey is at a disadvantage, but then not so much as the cow at a farm who gets a bolt through the head.

i could never hunt for sport. i just can't kill animals like that... it's so mean! they have their little animal families... think of the poor baby deer that are left all alone...

and yes, i eat meat. i am hypocritical like that, but i don't care. i don't think of my meat as a former animal, i think of it as tasty food. denial rules :D

What a lame ass argument? I said I dont agree with hunting animals. I dont buy beef that some hick blasted with buck shot. What does that have to do with me eating meat?

hey i got no problem with people who dont hunt or dont like to think were their food is from...i hate it when people are standing on line yelling cause their Big Mac is taking to long to get and saying hunting is wrong.

the thing u just jumped on someone talking about hunting...the original post never said anything about hunting for sport or hunting and eating it...most deer hunters eat the meat...mmm venison...

fine u dont like sport hunting, but just dont assume everyone bragging about killing a deer is doing just for sport

so you think men hunt just "To make you a man" well in some ways that is true when you take your son out hunting and he shots his first deer he does not change in any way or do any thing diffrent but that is some thing that will leave a life long memory in his mind forever of what he and his dad did together and after all all we really are is memorys once we are gone and some of us do it just to make the pocket book loosen up a little before christmas do you have any idea just how much meat just one deer puts in your freezer and if you are lucky enough to get a bonus tag and get 2 deer you can even give some away to a friend and honestly I can not think of any one that does not know some one that they care about and would love to do something nice for like feed them for a while but I guess if you do not know you will never understand sorry for stiring up so much trouble...
