Leadtek Winfast 2000xp and SB Live 5.1, XP, sound cuts out

OK I have a freshly reloaded system that I've been running forever with, but it was windows 2000 and now its XP.

Everything seems to work OK. I fire up the Winfast PVR. It runs for about 2-3 minutes, then the sound cuts out. It still makes noises when I switch the channels. If I shut it down and then restart it, the sound comes back. This is driving me nuts please help!
