Hey guys I really need your help, for some reason whenever I capture any video no matter what the source, the audio is too low and can't be heard by anyone. I've tried increasing the volume of the final file by recoding it with tmpgenc up to 1200%, but after that the speakers cannot take the feedback. I got an A8N-E board, fully updated drivers, all bars set to the max position, XP+SP2, all the codecs needed. I don't understand. Right now I'm currently feeding it by s-video and and using the camera's av/jack output that converts to rca cables. I've tested the cables on the tv with the cam, and it seems to work fine.

Leadtek's are known to have sound issues (I think it's mono anyways). I'd search on some htpc forums for more info (htpcnews.com for example)

I used to have that card.

As I remember, you got to run a wire to the aux on the sound card
and then go back and configure the Leadtek software to use it.
Takes a few tries, but it does work.

Sound is still way too load; I put the card into another computer and it didn't have any issues with sound volume, is my A8N-E board just weak? I did run a wire btw.

If you're using the onboard sound, you might want to give it a try with a hardware sound card. I've used that card with SB Live's and Audigy's, and even a Hercules Fortissimo III, with no problems, other than the mono sound as mentioned.

To anyone that is looking to this thread for a similar problem. The dedicated sound card works if your motherboard on board sound is too weak to support signficant volume boost. I bought a SB 24 bit live because it had an aux in and it was sub 20 dollars.
