Leadtek TV2000 XP Deluxe and USB Headset

Just purchased one of these tuners and have encountered a problem with it. I use a USB Logitech Headset for headphones/voice comm in games. Is there any way to get the sound from the tuner across to the headset? I use an NF7-S mobo's onboard sound and have the audio plug from the tuner connected to the Line-In on the NF7-S. Just can't seem to find any info on this or if it's even possible. Don't want to have to use an analog headset again 🙁

-edit-

Also, the USB headset uses its own internal sound card I guess. I have to switch back and forth between the onboard sound and the headset in Windows to change the output source, so the headset isn't getting its sound from the actual onboard audio.

I have a Leadtek tv2000 expert and I dont think you can. Mine connects internally through the auxillary on the sound card, so i dont think theres a way to stream it to a USB headset because it is considered a completely different audio device. You can always just get a pair of headphones and set your recording device to some usb microphone. But seeing that you're using an onboard sound card and you already got a USB headset, it would probably be a waste of money for you to do that. Switching back and forth is the plan i guess heh.

Hehe yeah it's appearing that way. I basically got the USB headset because of where my case is located. It sits below the desk to the right and most headsets don't reach that far without extensions, and even with the extensions I have to have wires laying on the floor near my chair wheels (is why I don't use standard headsets, i've probably killed 15 by running over the cords.) I can plug the USB one into my 2001FP and it's an easy reach.

Anyways thanks for the reply 🙂

lol maybe

still haven't found a solution *sigh*

time for a patent and some work with the soldering iron weeeeee

Incidentally, what Logitech USB headset are you referring to? I'm thinking of getting one, but I can only find an analog (Logitech Extreme PC Gaming Headset)...

BTW, drew726, the Expert and the Deluxe are quite different from each other - for one the Deluxe has RCA inputs! w00t, now I can play console systems on PC! 😛
