leadtek tv2000 recording schedule problems

on my tv2000 deluxe using the bundled software... I have issues with the scheduled recording. sometimes the program launches but doesn't record. sometimes it records just a little bit. and sometimes it doesn't go into standby when i've specified it to go into standby.

suggestions?
