Leadtek TV card question

I just got a Leadtek 2000XP Expert tuner card. Everything works except that the volume won't change using the remote control. It appears to be changing on the OSD, but there is no audible change. Another thing that is a little annoying is whenever I change channels, I get 1/2 second of loud static. This is my first tv card so I'm not sure whether or not this is normal. Thanks

Check if the audio cables are plugged in properly. I remember on a few occassions, mine weren't plugged in all the way.

I've got the same card and I don't have any static when changing channels.

For the volume:

In the options for the tuner software, change the 'Audio-Out Control Line' value to whatever input you plugged the card into. If you don't remember which, you can just guess and test.
