Leadtek might not be the only...

After hearing about the Leadtek GF4 Ti4600 not fitting on some 8KHA+'s I was disappointed. Now after taking a look at some of the pics of other GF4's, I'm kinda worried. The capacitors on these boards look pretty much like the Leadtek ones. Anyone know if these'll have the same problems? I'm really gonna be disappointed in Epox if this is the case. I don't know why they made their boards out of spec...

So, anyone have info on this or am I just gonna have to wait for ATI's answer to the GF4?

The LeadTek is not the only board to have the "capacitor" problem. Other mfg's are using the nVidia reference design as well, and will have trouble fitting on the 8KHA+. There are a few other threads in this forum that are discussing the issue you bring to the table, please review them.

Wow! A moderator that actually replied about the hardware! ;)

Looks like this is an Epox problem, that is not adhering to specification for clearance. Lots of mobo manufacturers are guilty of this actually. For pci slots to be full length, you must have all of your floppy, ide, etc. connectors above the slots. Most mobo's do not, however. Of course, there aren't too many full length pci cards nowadays so they can slack and in most cases get away with it. :)

Cheers!
