Installed a new mobo/processor/and leadtek g2 pro/gts. after re-installing w2k and everything else I tried to play half-life: locked up without even getting to the intro screen. I re-booted tried the winfox panel and the two hardware choices[one of which allows you to check directX and D3D werent even showing up. re-installed w2k, sp2, and the sound and video. I could then get to the winfox panel and run the directx checks, everything looked ok. installed all my programs AGAIN. now I am back in the same orignal position, lock-ups and can get to the top two hardware options on the winfox panel.

epox 8kta3
amd 1.2 266 thunderbird
sb 128pci
intel NIC
leadtek geforce2 64mb pro gts
384mb pc133 RAM

any help appreciated.

have you tried the VIA AGP fix for Win2k yet? actually i think it might be incorporated into SP2 already, but not too sure on that... I got the same mobo, and flashed the latest bios and running win2k SP2 w/ a GF2 Pro. I'm currently using the 11.01 drivers and play Counter-strike regularly w/o lockups (I use OpenGL). Also got the VIA 4-in-1 4.31 patches installed. Hope this helps out just in case you forgot to install something =)

you're right, I think the fix is in the w2k service pack. I have the 4/17/01 BIOS also. what video drivers are you using? I have tried the drivers that came with the card, and also d/l'd the latest drivers fom leadtek's website; tried both, no dice either way....

the VIA I have is 4.29 I think....havent seen the 4.31's anywhere.
