Go to [L]http://www.evga.com/welcome/index.ihtml#mx[/]
It shows that is has twinview, and you the pop up window says the price is 115 for preorders of quantity 5. I could go for that.

Hmmm...on the popup is says NO TV. So I guess there's no twinview....unless it's for
Two digital flat panels,
Two RGB monitors (with second RAMDAC),
Two analog flat panels,
One digital flat panel and one analog flat panel,
One digital flat panel and one RGB monitor,
or
One RGB monitor and one analog flat panel (with second RAMDAC).

These are NOT Leadtek right? They are eVGA? Do we know anything about e VGA?

I think that Leadtek makes the cards and e VGA puts their names on them

Yipe! Man, I almost cancelled my Onvia order for a Voodoo3! Of course, with a $50 coupon and $45(Canadian) rebate, the V3 is an awesome deal I couldn't pass up. I'll grab one of these MXes later, if I decide to sell the V3-3k and I can find one where the shipping isn't so high.
Anyone willing to get 5 so we can team up to save some cash? :)

i think what bluemax is talking about is indeed a 50$ coupon for onvia's Canadiansite. However items are a bit more expensive than USA as everyone knows.

I'd be in for a 115 pre order pricetag if people are willing to group up. To make sure, tho is anyone familiar with this company? Is this a Leadtek or not?

It's $105 per card in lots of 5 . . .

BTW, "reseller number" is usually an Employer Identification Number (EIN), or some variation of your Social Security Number . . .

I would be in at that price but what's up with the reseller info they want? For what it's worth I went into Best Buy today and the guy that was supposedly the "3d card man" according to another employee had never even heard of this card, but after I helped him out it was actually showing up in their system and had a sale date of 8/13 @ $149.

Exactly what is twinview? Just allows you to hook up two monitors to the same video card? Do the monitors display the same thing? Or is it like having two video cards? How's performance using twinview?

twinview is like matrox's DualHead. Read anand's article for some good info on this.

And the models w/ twinview and/or tv out will be more than the ~$120 price tag... closer to $180/$200 most likely (at least, the Herc version is).

Does anyone know if directx even supports twinview/dualhead/name-of-the-month for both displays? This is one of the pitfalls of doing dual video cards now is that only what is defined as the main video card can utilize directx features. I've got an ATI A-I-W128 that I wanted to run as a second display and use the added features of it(video capture, tv, dvd, etc.) and couldn't for this very reason. Sure these cards probably won't have most of those features but I wouldn't mind being able to watch a dvd on one monitor while working(or playing in another). Anyone know anything about this?

Anand's article mentions a second RAMDAC for two CRT's. All I know is that RAMDAC's are like a signal booster or something? Exactly what is it? Is it just a plug that goes between the video card and monitor cable? Does it actually plus into the video card? How does it work? And how much does it go for?
