leadtek 6800U/GT

Was looking at all the vendors last night, just browsing... saw that the leadtek 6800GT has a dual slot cooling solution. With of course, in the back of my head wanting to overclock, a big copper hsf on this card would be nothing but wise. I was just wondering what kind of a backround winfast has, and if it would be a wise buy, considering its got obviously a good cooler on it.

BTW, heres a link to look at the cooler (there's no side angle views, but from the text you can see what they are) Ultra/GT/plain

Leadtek makes extremely good cards, usually the best 2d quality and cooling solution.

The leadtek 5950 was the best OCer out of all the brands.

Leadtek is awesome...pretty much everybody with a "tech" or "tek" in the name is good stuff....Chaintech, Leadtek, Visiontek (they still around?). My personal favorite is Gainward, but I am seriously considering BFG or Leadtek this time...(probably go with the Leadtek).

PoP: Sands of Time is the only game in the bundle that interests me though...I never liked Splinter Cell. The third person view kills it - it would've been much more entertaining (and adrenaline pumping) if it was first person, a la sneaking around in Deus Ex 1.

I had a leadtek GF 1 SDR and a Leadtek GF3 Ti200, and they were both very nice cards. The only issue I had with them was drivers. I had installed the leadtek drivers instead of the reference drivers and was never able to uninstall them completely. None of the driver cleaner programs worked, since leadtek put the drivers in different spots and had different registry entries. In the end, I had to format the HDD and reinstall windows when I got a new card.

I'd definitely buy leadtek again, but I'd use the reference drivers instead of the leaktek ones (although now I'd do that with any MFG after learning my lesson with leadtek).

-D'oh!

Visiontek went under and another company bought the name, so they are still around but in name only. I have heard somewhere that some of the founders of BFGTech were old Visiontek people.

Hi.

I have always owned Leadtek products. I have a leadtek 5950Ultra , and its an awesome card. I just ordered my Leadtek 6800 Ultra.

These are great cards, i wouldn't use any other brand.

I've owned two Leadtek cards a Ti 4600 and a FX 5800 Ultra. They were both excellent cards. And for all those who make fun of the flow FX two-slot solution, My 5800 U was a single slot with two quiet fans. I used that card for almost a year and never had a problem with it. I still use it on one of my LAN boxes.

i think my minds set on the leadtek because of the dual slot solution, and not having to buy another hsf for the GT.

Seems like a decent bundle too =)

Where is my Leadtek selling.

I want the Leadtek 6800GT for all reasons.

Gime the Website, plzzzzzzzz

Leadtek Rulz

They were the only ones to respect NVIDIA by supplying Twin Turbo 2 Coolers
