Hi, I'm going to be buying a new computer soon and i want to get a 6800. I can afford the MSI one but i would really like to save the extra cash and spend it towards something else if they are about the same. Here are the links to the two.

I can see that the MSI has a 100 mhz faster memory speed but how much of a difference does it make? Also how are the companies? I know MSI is supposed to be very good but I don't know much about Leadtek. Lastly how do they compare in overclocking abilities i want to oc to about 400-450 core and 700-750 memory. So is the MSI really worth the extra money? Thanks in advance.

I just got two of the Leadtek ones. The memory on the MSI ones are not 100MHz higher, that's a newegg typo.

I prefer Leadtek over MSI personally.

You can OC your own core 100MHz, I can't afford to buy new ones should these burn.

I have had nothing but good experiences with MSI. I have a MSI 16x DVD-ROM. I've had it for 2 years and I watch alot of DVDs on my computer. I had a MSI GeForce4 Ti4400 AGP 4x clocked at 275/275 that I managed to overclock past Ti4600 speeds (300/325) to 330/325. A solid and stable card.🙂

The leadtek may actually be slower- they have a "lite" version that has slower memory and overclocks poorly. I would definately fire off an email to confirm.

Link?

My Leadtek 6800s have 325/600MHz clocks just like the the MSI, and a better HSF IMO.

The games in their bundle are reviewed much better as well.
