Just ran a 3DMark05 and the score was 3814. I was watching the whole time, and at one point the average fps was 1-2.
I have been trying to figure out what the problem is for some time. I have to turn the settings down on most games to below what should be for this card. All drivers are up to date.

Here's the rest of my system specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
ASUS A8V Deluxe
1GB Corsair XMS 3200
Leadtek 6600 GT
WD 200GB SATA
Maxtor 200GB
Maxtor 160GB
NEC DVD RW
Samsung DVD-ROM

Help please!

peace

d00d, that's normal

Your score is normal.

Getting 1-2 fps is normal for the CPU test part.

Now keep in mind the 6600GT isn't high-end.
If you expect to play all games at max settings...it's not gonna happen till you get an X800XL or better.

Now go play some games & have fun with your card instead of worrying about stupid benchmarks :D

Try overclocking your 6600GT and your score will be better!!
Mine is 4150 with an XFX 6600GT overclocked.

Not smoking anything... just going by what I saw when compared in 3DMark with others of similar setup. I'm kinda new at benchmarking... in the past I just built systems to use mainly for "office" type tasks. This is the first time I've paid almost $200 (when I purchased it) for a video card, and well, I thought it might performe a little better for that much money. Now I know, my expectations were too high!

Appreciate your flare for the dramatic though.... :)

OK, I know there are a number of posts that I can probably search for about OC'ing this card. But since you mentioned it, I'll ask. How do you OC this card?
I've tried the Omega drivers and had nothing but trouble. So, how do I do it?

use rivatuner.. and use the forceware drivers by nvidia.. or the xg drivers. the new forceware beta driver is really good.. 77.76 or the xg 77.62 type 3 hds are good to. Make sure u use driver cleaner afer unistalling ur old ones.. read the readme that comes with it
