dude... that card blows mucho chunks... i remember trying to get some more performance out of it by ocing it... and it actually did worse... hahahaha...

Well since hes only borrowing that fx5200 then it doesn't matter much if you can't tweak it, hes not the one that that actually bought a card thats not good for playing around with settings.

Anyhow I really hope they do get these in, the fan on my ti4200 started to fall apart, so i rigged it with some small fan off an old abit kt7a mobo...i think...its actually much more sturdy now, but if something goes wrong i've only got a very old gf2 to spare...or maybe its a gf1...if i get stuck in vga mode i may go into shock.
 
Actually I sold my TI4600 a few weeks ago to help finance a BFG 6600GT (which I assumed would be out by now at a "reasonable" price). Luckily a friend owns a computer store and had a spare FX5200 lying around.
 
MisterE here. I got an update email concerning my order today. I have another item on the order, a USB2.0/firewire combo enclosure, and had inquired about having it shipped ahead of the video card. The response email indicated that this was possible, and there is no additional cost in shipping the items separately. Concerning the video card, they again offered to ship it as soon as the card is available (I accepted this offer).

I think that I've received three emails from XPCGear's support staff, and all three have been very pleasant and friendly. Although I haven't actually received anything that I've ordered, I kinda like these folks.
 
so 1-1.5 weeks to ship? alright...

do you think an antec 300W smartpower PSU is good enough? i have 1 dvd-rom, 1 cd-rw, 2 HDs, 3 fans...

agreed. i had a very prompt response to an email i sent them, asking about it.

to secretanchitman: yep, that should be enough. if it was a lower quality psu than an antec, you might have problems.

wasnt an email, it was what they told me when I called them.... but then again... they did sound kinda hesitant
on when it would actually come in.....
