newegg doesn't advertise the 2000xp as the deluxe version but that is what they send you, it is $66

You're talking about the leadtek winfast 2000xp tv tuner, right? If so, I am really interested in this card. What is it like?

Is what is pictured HERE (1st and 2nd pictures) the deluxe edition, or the regular edition?...and by 'deluxe' do you mean retail or something else?

This card also has a video input right?

By the way, I know it has FM radio stereo reception...but does it have stereo sound for tv as well? How is the picture quality like?

Sorry for so many questions...but I have heard this is the one of the best cards and I am seriously considering this for tv viewing in my college dorm...PM me if you can (could you send me a snap shot of a tv program on your computer or something)?.

Thank you!

just got back from classes, it is like the one shown (since that is the one i thought i ordered) but the part in the picture to the right of the words" secam dk" (where the solder job is but no components) there is a connector with a addon card whose function i cannot say for certain (btw, it does say sony on it).
also, the remote is this one http://www.leadtek.com.tw/www/Web_Leadtek/multimedia/TV2000_XP/TV2000-XP-deluxe.asp. if anyone knows what that addon part is, please post

Ok, I did a bit of browsing around and answered some of my own questions.

It appears that Leadtek has two different versions of the card one for the USA and one for Asia/Europe
...not to mention the fact that leadtek has two versions of the English website: the USA one sucks, whereas the Asia/Europe one is much more informative

The deluxe version seems to be far more advanced. It has dbx stereo for TV viewing (the USA version does not) and a much more elaborate remote.

So perhaps newegg is now selling the Asia/Europe version of this deluxe card in the US...which plain out ROCKS!

I'm a little lost on this.

Where is this card at on New Egg, and how much?

Thanks,

Wade

do you know if your card has dbx stereo playback for tv viewing...maybe that is what it is.

ok...now to find out which version of the card you got:
does the box look like this (with the deluxe marking and extra pictures in the lower right corner) or this?

You are right...if newegg is shipping out the deluxe version for 64.00 (w/ free shipping) then this is HOT!

Any pics of what was included in your package thesunnydelight?

If anyone has this card, any chance of getting some sample captures? I bought a similar capture card that was compared to this one but the captures aren't all that great... If anyone has any sample captures (a minute or two would be great) please send them to my email addy below \|/

it is the deluxe card, with the added icons, and newegg just labels it a regular 2000xp on their website but it is a deluxe version

package also includes ulead's videostudio6, the winfast software, and ulead's cool3d, indicative of the deluxe card besides the obvious text on the box that say "deluxe." not sure how to tell if the sound is stereo, but the remote gives you the option to change from mono/stereo/sap and the streo setting does sound "richer' than mono imo. gimme a place to upload pictures to and i'll send you the pics i'm getting from a webcam (quality is crap though).

I got the deluxe edition as well. Remote is cooler looking than the one shown in the pic from newegg.

I got a deluxe too.

Drool...can't resist. I think I'll buy it tomorrow morning.

Crap I couldn't wait until tomorrow morning. Just bought it now...crossing my fingers that I'll receive the deluxe version!

By the way, does anyone know what leadtek's warranty is on this card? Does it mention it on the box/in the manual?

Can those of you who ordered most recently verify it's deluxe? Also how are the XP drivers on this sucker?

the org (non-deluxe) should have 878 chipset right? as discussion from previous thread. It means that it is only mono sound, for TV or FM.
As 878 chip has fade out. The 878A with pin comp. and "at no-extra cost", replace it and thus provide dbx, stero sound etc.

check left hand side for pdf.

so, can anyone vertified that the chip is conexant 878A?

(BTW, AVTerMedia has 878A chip and has dbx sound too,... for a many months now)

it still looks like the same one that i bought back in february. i don't even know if i got the deluxe one (and it doesn't really matter to be) but i got the same remote and everything.

the XP drivers for this are fine and i think they work great out of the box. i haven't had ANY problems with the card so far.
