does anybody have this, I am thinking about asking for it for christmas, but I'm not really sure. If you do have it, what are your thoughts? how does it scale resolutions, dead pixel's, any ghosting?

Search the forum there are several threads about it. It's a great 17" monitor and in fact could be considered "the" best. Especially if you do a lot of gaming.
 
I don't have one myself but have heard many good things about it. Just search google for some reviews and you should be able to find some informative reviews.
 
ya I've done all of that, i guess im just looking for even more reassurance....lol, but it is a fairly large investment, so i dont think im totally wrong...
 
ill research that one on google, but i dont know if i can get it from the guy i want to order from, if i get it from him then i dont pay shipping because he is in the same city as me...
 
it scales well, number of dead pixels is not related to particular models, i think it's just bad luck. I only noticed ghosting when i first got it and played far cry, but i don't see it anymore. If you plan on using it in portrait mode bare in mind that if you move to the left the image looks crappy (which makes sense as when it's landscape it would be like sitting on the floor and looking at it which is not something many people do). I plan on getting a second one.
