Well I really need an LCD to take to college with me. But i cant really fork over 250-300 dollars for one. Is there place I can finance one? Like pay payments?

Get a Dell Preferred Account, or ask your parents.

EDIT: you just missed a deal about a week ago - Dell 1905FPs were going for $219.

I heard they ghost bad.

I still think that lcd's are over rated. I love my 19" crt and will keep it until it dies. I know the lcd technology has come a long way over the last few years, but I am not looking into buying one anytime soon. The color of a crt is still superior in my eyes anyway.

Just make the switch recently, still would prefer the vivid color of CRT especially under low light and watching dark movies.

I heard that too, but I don't use my computer for games so it doesn't matter too much for me.

If you're that poor you probably will get screwed if you try to finance one because the rates you'll be eligible for will be equal to loan sharking.

yeah, seriously don't finance a flippin LCD. save back some money and in a few months at the most you should have enough for a decent LCD (my Acer 1914smb 19" only cost $291).

Correct. The 1905FP isn't the best choice for a gamer.

Get a good Samsung 19" with low response times, should set you back around $350.

Yes assuming you have a good credit history, here's what you do:

Add a Dell 2001FP or 2005FPW to your cart, avoid the other models if you're a gamer.

Pay for it using a DPA, which is a line of credit, you make monthly payments. Of course if you're buying a $400 LCD and make payments for 24 months by the time you're done you'll have paid around $525 for a 2 year old monitor. In other words it's stupid.
