LCD vs. FD TRINITRON

I'm considering either an LCD monitor or an FD Trinitron 19" - which would be sharper and better for video editing? My samsung p55df is a P.O.S. that's blurry at even 1024x768 so I need something nice and clear..
Thanks!

id go with the trinitron... 🙂 i had a trinitron before my lcd... honestly... i have the deskspace now and i wish i had a CRT... but the LCD is easier on my eyes though.

Yeah, I've noticed that this samsung's killing my eays, but it's probably because of the fuzzy text and low refresh rates.. What's the major disadvantage of LCDs vs. the trinitron?

Really, the only advantages I can think of for LCDs are their size and the fact that they're supposed to be easier on your eyes, although my eyes feel fine after staring at my 21" Trinitron for hours. CRTs are cheaper inch for inch and they give you a much wider variety of resolutions.....unless you don't mind the interpolated image of LCDs running at non-native resolutions.

I think you'll like the 21" Trinitron. I love my 21" Sony that I bought a year or 2 ago for $200 including overnight shipping from CA to NC. Damn how I wish deals like that would come around more often. 🙂

It might be your video card... any chance that you're using any variation of NVidia's GeForce 2?
