Not really, no. For awhile it was typical for monitors to have higher resolution, but with more 1920 x 1080 panels going into living rooms I'm not sure that's true anymore. Technically a 1920 x 1200 monitor still has more pixels, but it isn't very significant, and although there are even higher-resolution computer displays, they aren't very mainstream yet. Maybe some of the best monitors are still faster, or use more bits per pixel, but overall it's the same technology packaged for different applications.
