We had one of these at the office. The keys are hard to press and often repeat when you touch them (ie- 555555555). Probably why it's so cheap. I give it a thumbs down. Sorry 🙁

Arrggg... wish I'd look for some reviewes before I ordered one. I figured it's a pretty good deal and the specs are not bad. Oh well, hope it is worth the $20 I paid...

Can anyone provide any reviews on this phone? Do the numbers really mess up that much?

Also, is this thing wall mountable?

I been looking for phone with Called ID that has this big "button" thing going on, but the lack of real buttons can either be really neat, or really annoying.

I need a wall mount kitchen phone, with Called ID and most importantly, mother friendly. You know what I mean by mother friendly out there.

Can any owner of this phone confirm -- does this phone work with a regular phone line -or- do you need IP telephony service for this to work ?

Anyone else who actually owns this phone want to confirm the button problems? Also, what kinds of IP stuff can you do with it? Thanks.

I did some research on this phone (and a few others like it), and it turns out that the manufacturer's definition of "IP" isn't the same as ours. I can't remember the exact story on it, but it's something like a programmable button, tone dialing, or something like that. This phone is made for use on a POTS line, like most other phones.

SOME phones similar to this one aren't TRUE speakerphones, but are hands free MONITORS only. Does anyone know if this is a true speakerphone, whether it's duplex or simplex, and if it does a decent job?

Important to know for anyone considering buying.

I purchased one like this, BUT not the same exact one, a few months ago from OverStock. They look ALMOST identical. I think it does look ok. I don't really have a problem with the numbers and it does seem to work well. The drawbacks on mine are it uses batteries to run the LCD screen. I've changed the batteries twice in the last 3 months. Also, the cord that comes with the handset is shorter than normal and doesn't stretch well, so you have to stand right next to the phone. I don't know about this one, but on mine, you can not change the handset cord, at least not easily. It is wired into the phone.

Bottom line - I wouldn't recommend it for a phone you use all the time. It's a nice conversation piece though!

I'm almosted tempted to buy one just for looks, regardless of the fact that I don't even have phone service (only cell phone).

I think it's all about the cordless now. I rarely see anyone with a corded phone nowadays maybe for business but it still looks pretty cool though.

I bought one of these last pass. No serious problems, but two complaints:

1. The handset to phone body cord is very long and coiled...nice but not as a desk phone. Worst part, it is permanently affixed, so you can't (easily) replace it.

2. The owners manual is useless. It refer to the IP button, but doesn't define it. I think it has to do with stored numbers, but I lost patience and gave up trying to figure it out.

The currency detector is a hoot. When I pushed the button I hoped it would find loose change in my couch, but instead a small light (blue, maybe UV emitter too) lit up. Does real money fluoresce and funny money not?
