LCD stain?

Hi there
I have recently found that my monitor has developed a patch down the side that is like a dark stain, like water got inside.
It is not that noticeable on certain colors, mainly light ones.
Whats going on?
Its it fixable?

Is it an LG IPS panel? Some of these have that problem unfortunately due to a manufacturing error. My 20WMGX2 also had the stain at the top.

Yes, its the Dell 2007wfp with the LG IPS panel.
Is it worth taking it to a shop?

dells have a 3yr warranty. call them up and have it replaced

Had a look on their page and found no IPS panels.
No harm in a call I guess.
Could a shop fix it?
