LCD screen for <$400

Hey,

I haven't bought a monitor since 1995, so i'm a little out of touch with what's going on in this part of the computer world. I'm thinking about getting an LCD screen for my desktop, and looking to spend under $400 if possible. In case it makes a difference, my current vid card is a GF2pro and it's got vga and s-video out.
What should I be looking for and looking to avoid?
What are some good places to get reviews, good prices...any kind of info would be appreciated
