I was going to buy noe of the ACEr new X2 series;

Acer 22" LCD X222W

or is a LG screen better;

LG 22" LCD L226WT

anyone got either, and has opinion on the companys other screens

I have the Acer X221WSD. I think it is a pretty good monitor, the brightness is way too much, I have it turned all the way down. Colors are nice out of the box, but get better after calibration. Viewing angles are good, I have no dead pixels and very minimal backlight bleeding.

LG uses its own LG-Philips panel. It is the LM220WE1. Click it on this page

Acer was the first to release a 22-inch wide, at the time using the ChiMei panel. Now, They might be using the ChiMei or the AU Optronics panel.

The LG L226WT is rated as the best 22-inch in the LCD Buyer's Guide Thread

So the LG is better and more expensive, but the Acer 22-inch monitors have been well-rated in web reviews and on online shopping sites.
