Which is better Lower ms or Higher ms?

my sister wants to buy one. she mainly surfs, emails and light games (non 3d). She does use a web cam though.

I've used 25 ms panels for games quite a bit with a 6800nu and I've never noticed any ghosting. YMMV

wow. i wish i could say the same for my 25ms Samsung 191T, which ghosts like hell.

have you played games on a CRT? because to me, the difference is like night and day.

I just got a 17" Hyundai L70S with a 16ms response time just for gaming (of course I still have the Samsung that I use for everything other than gaming), and there is NO ghosting. i love it.

good 25ms panels barely ghost, and even when they do, it's barely even noticable. samsung makes their new panels with newer 25ms technology and it's supposedly better then some 16ms panels. gamepc has a review on the 243T. i have a year old dell lcd which is 25ms and i can barely tell the difference from my crt whcih is 1 ft away from it.

I have to concur. My 17" Widescreen is 25ms and it doesn't ghost at all in FPS or other PC games.

Same here. I have a 25ms NEC and have no ghosting problems at all. I've played Medal of Honor , Call of Duty, and am playing Doom 3 right now (not literally) and have not noticed any ghosting problems.

Yeah I even have an FP7317 40ms 17 inch compaq screen I got off ebay for $220 shipped and it actually doesn't ghost that bad. Contrast isn't as good as my 25 MS Tatung 1707, but couldn't resist the price! I think the newer rates are conservative and the screens are actually faster than they claim, or the old specs were BS, lol

16ms Hitachi CML174XXXXXXX, love it, no distracting ghosting. I have found LCDs are very easy on my eyes, no more headaches

I've got a samsung 151V 15" w/25ms response and notice no ghosting. Also put it next to this old gateway 15" CRT I had laying around and the difference is astonishing. The quality is so much better on the LCD, I don't know if I could switch back unless forced to.
