All the LCD entire rearview mirrors that are out there have a mirror and a 2" square area for backup camera. Nesavision has complete LCD, but it's a snap on unit. Nobody makes an entire rearview mirror that has an entire screen LCD. I am going to use an LCD monitor and make a bracket from an old rearview mirror to mount. I will have a speaker enclosure wall whic hwill completely block rearview so I will have a rear view backup camera for vision. Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of LCD monitor to use?

Use your side mirrors. That's what I did when I had the darkest tint on my rear window.

I won't have a radio, I am putting a 10-inch touchscreen monitor with a mini itx computer in the trunk. I could get a video card for my computer and run the backup cam to that, but don't want a dummy mirror.

Will you run afoul of laws that may require a rear-view mirror? Maybe you need to put a dinky little mirror somewhere to satisfy such laws, if they exist, even though you'll depend on the LCD display.

Michigan laws for mirror only pertain to outside mirrors. Heck in California as long as you have operating lights, that's all you need on the vehicle so you can drive without doors etc lol
