LCD Question

Making the leap from CRT to LCD, and I'm hoping to clear up some confusion. I'm looking at either a Samsung 204BW or 205BW. Both are widescreen models, and the only difference I can find between the two is the panel. THe 204 a-si TFT/TN where as the 205 is a-si TFT active matrix. If anyone can tell me what the difference is I would be extremely grateful. Also, if anyone has an opinion as to a better 20" widescreen I would love to hear it.
Might be helpful to point out that I use the PC for gaming - WoW, EQ2 and the occasional FPS (Prey at the moment).

both of them are TN panels. What is actual difference between them I have no clue, but I doubt it is significant as they cost the same on newegg. Likely they use exact or very similar panel.

I hope you buy one locally. Makes returns a lot easier.

To answer your question they are both TN, but the 205BW, is the newer version of 204 samsung claims is an 8bit TN. The first for a TN so Samsung claims. It still looks terrible though.. dithers, poor viewing angles etc.. again buy it locally for easy return.

In that price range I'd get the Dell 2007.. much better technology behind it.
