LCD Question

I have read some reviews that indicate the best way to buy an LCD is to go to the B&M store and insist it is opened in the store to make sure of no dead pixels. Has anyone tried this? I can't imagine even the suggestion goes over too well.

Are there other ways to make sure I can get a panel with no dead pixels?

I've read dell has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee, has anyone used it to satisfaction?

My friend returned his Dell twice. Once for a dead pixel, again because he decided he just didn't want it.

It's worth a shot to have it opened in the store, however I'm not sure if they'll be hook it up to run a dead pixel test. Or open it when you get home and if there are dead pixels, return it as defective. Most B&M stores don't have dead pixel policies.

that wouldn't be the easiest thing to do. Unless its a small store and not a chain store I bet most places would say they couldn't do that
