I read somewhere (or maybe saw it on QVC) that LCD last a loooong time. In other words, if you are lucky enough to not have dead pixels initially, most likely it will remain perfect for many years to come (with good care).
Is this true? I had always assumed LCDs are more fragile than CRTs.
