I have been lurking on these forums, trying to learn about lcds and there is one issue I have not seen answered. Is it possible to buy lcd screens at other then the standard resolution? For example, I really like 1024x768 and prefer to have everything look bigger rather then have more desktop space. Would it be possible to buy a 19 inch lcd at that resolution? I guess I could wait until 20 inch 2000x1500 are available since that divides perfectly but that seems like a rather expensive option. Thank you for any help.

why dont you just buy a 19inch lcd and set the resolution at 1024x768 then? because the lcd's native resolution is greater then the one you prefer doesnt mean you can change it.

I guess I need to clarify. I do not want to run an lcd at non-native resolution unless it divides evenly because then it looks pretty bad. This is from personal experience and from friends who have tried it on their lcds. Additionally I am hoping that lower resolution lcds, if they exist, will be cheaper.
