Can you even get a crappy 17&quot; LCD for that much? Passive Matrix? Do they even make passive matrix LCD monitors, or are they just in cheap notebooks?

I saw a deal on the NEC site for a $300 rebate on the LCD1800 18&quot; flat panel. I don't know how much they cost, but I think that might bring it under $700. The catch is the deal expires today.

sounds good, i have a question... i'm running a 19&quot; KDS rightnow - if i get a samsung Tft from BB will the difference be really bad? compare 1024x768 on the 15&quot; to a reso on the 19&quot;.... thanks!
