LCD Monitors?

Do LCD monitors go bad if left on continuously? I have a nice no-dead-pixel monitor right now and was wondering if eventually, i will get some. Thanks!
 
Not that I have ever read, but I have heard that using a screensaver is always a good idea with LCDs to prevent any kind of burn-in..
 
heh...can't tell really... you may or may not develop dead pixels overtime. what you should be more worried about is the backlight... those do fail overtime and it'll cost $$$ to replace even though its real cheap. 😕
