LCD monitor dimension size question

Buying a new LCD monitor for work, want a 22", but not sure if it will fit. Are the dimensions given for various monitors the screen only, or do the include the frame? I'm talking about the Height and width dimensions, not the diagonal. My desk has "bookshelf" type things which limit the space available.

Also, does anybody have an opinion on HANNS-G and Acer monitors?

I know they are far from the best, but given the amount of $$ I can spend, and wanting a 22", this is about what I can get. Just wondering if either is a "stay away from at any price".

A quick google search told me...LCD's are measured from left (top) to right (bottom). The measurements which are listed are of the actual viewable size of the monitor.

I've been using a Acer P203W 20" LCD for the last 2 months and I can say it's fantastic! 🙂

One last question, does anyone know the difference (other than $$) between the Acer X223WBD and the V223WBD?
As in, which one might be better/sharper/clearer, etc

Bought the Acer X223WBD, FWIW.

"Appears" that the V stands for "Value" and the "X" for "Excellence", but who knows? The X223 isn't shown on Acer's web site, while the V223 is, but their web site is garbage anyway. I was wondering, why is the X cheaper than the V if the X is better? I know, more of a discount on the X, but why is it necessary to discount it more? Marketing, I suppose. Doesn't matter now, since I went ahead and bought.
