I just ordered a Compaq FP725-D LCD monitor for a buddy and he tells me the connection is different then his old monitor and he cant use it, is there a convertor or what is needed to be able to hook this up???

Perhaps its DVI?
If its DVI-I, then you can get a analog -> DVI converter
But the best option is to get a video card w/DVI out.

Yup. Its the DVI-I most likely. There is also a DVI-D but its rare.

Go to Monitoroutlet to get the right cable or converter.

These guys are THE best.
