I am planning on going with a dell 20.1". What would be the advantage of the wide format the 2001fpw over the 2001fp?

A faster grey-to-grey response time of 12ms and the cool factor of having widescreen...but not only is it cool it does help for a lot of things such as spreadsheets and of course gaming, provided it supports the res or can be hacked to do so.

The 2005FPw is has 6% smaller viewable area than the 2001FP
The 2005FPw is only 3% more viewable area than a 19 inch.
The 2001 FP is 1.92 million pixels thus has 9% more pixels than the 2005FPw
The 2005 FPw is 1.76 million pixels. Therefore, u can see more on the 2001FP

So the question should be.
Do you want wide screen? if so, 2005FPw

i have my own question? will windows xp default to a widescreen setting if a widescreen monitor is attached? Also what is everyones opinions on widscreen. I am acually looking @ both of those monitirs but cant deside. To widescreen or not to widescreen? that is the question.

WOW! How the heck did you figure all that out??????
How does the 2105FP compare to the 1905FP for all the numbers above? It has stellar reviews here>

no it wont but it doesn't matter ecause you can change it after install. I would go with what you like I bought the LG 1720p a 17" 4:3 and I love it. I plan on buying a second one if the wife let's me 🙂 for a dual display.
