lcd matte films

I was wondering if any forum members have any experience with this kind of matte film to apply to a glossy screen.
I was considering buying an LED backlit screen (which all seem to be glossy), and using this kind of film to make it matte, because I like matte.

Interesting. When I got my new Lenovo T510 notebook with LED screen, I chose the non-glossy option. So, they do exist. Maybe the OEM uses the 3M film. ???

They work fine. You will lower your max brightness and contrast a bit though.

@kork I am looking for a stand-alone monitor, but I think your laptop screen is matte from the factory. I suppose they must use something to make it matte, but it could be spray-on or something.

@mfen thanks for your input. I think maybe a little dimmer is okay if it's LED, they are Pretty bright from the start.

they make them in both nowadays.

i know for the low end notebooks that glossy is the only option.
