He says that for a few weeks it was going black then he would shake the cord and it would come back on. Well the other day it went black and he shook the cord and it went completly white. Now when he turns it on all he gets is a white screen. Anyone heard of this and can this be fixed? He bought it from Overstock and he got a 20 day warranty back in Feb. So is he screwed?
 
sounds like the cable is bad. If it is a captive cable and cannot be removed from the screen, then yes he is screwed
