lcd gone?

Compaq Presario C300 CTO Notebook PC
the top 2/3 of the lcd is perfect.the bottem 1/3 is vertical colored lines across all the way.do you think this lcd is gone or can i fix it.can i buy lcd to fit?

I had that similar problem with dell m710. You have to get it replaced.
