LCD for parents

if it doesn't need to be high end, just pick the one for the cheapest price and performance...it all depends on where you buy it. For low ends, it'd be nice to go to the store and actually see them in action; almost all NEW lcds are good enough for the average person
 
Best Buy had a westinghouse 19" for $160. I picked one up and have been very impressed. It is more than capable of gaming, but is great for internet/business tasks as well.

Get them something with a glass panel in front of the plastic LCD screen. Inevitably they will use Windex on that sucker.
